How big barracuda run

Federal interviewers measured 609 of them on charter trips between 2022–2024. The middle half ran 26.6–43 inches, with a median of 34.4 inches.

Separately, MRIP's catch records for those trips count 561 kept and 724 released. That is a different tally from the fish that were measured, not a breakdown of them.

Yes. Off Collier through Martin counties: a 15 to 36 inch fork length slot with 1 fish over 36 inches allowed per person or vessel per day, and 2 per person, 6 per vessel. Elsewhere: no minimum size, and 2 fish or 100 pounds, whichever is more.
